Joyce Moon Howard, DrPH is Director of Undergraduate Programs in Global Public Health and Clinical Associate Professor of Community Health Science and Practice at New York University.

Prior to her appointment at NYU, she served on the faculty in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, where she taught courses in research methods, program evaluation, and community based participatory research (CBPR).

Her research in communities of color has focused on methodological challenges in survey and intervention research in urban communities, contextual and situational factors associated with health behaviors, and HIV and tobacco-related health outcomes and health disparities among African-Americans.
