Rounding out the closing plenary, Dr. Margaret McKenzie will focus on sexually transmitted diseases and their impact on Women’s health. Dr. McKenzie is section Head of Obstetrics & Gynecology in the Ob/Gyn & Women’s Health Institute, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. She is the immediate past president of the Cleveland Clinic’s Women’s Professional Staff Association, and is currently serving on the Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors for a five-year term. Dr. McKenzie’s work focuses on empowering others and raising awareness about health access with her peers, the community and her patients. An in-demand speaker on health, diet and lifestyle issues, Dr. McKenzie has appeared on the Dr. Oz Show and multiple local TV stations. Dr. McKenzie is co-author of the bestselling book, You: Having a Baby, with Drs. Mehmet Oz and Mike Roizen. As a survivor of successful long-term weight management, Dr. McKenzie is an ambassador for conversations that help women at midlife with nutrition, exercise, stress management and maintenance of long-term weight loss.
