Donna Mitchell is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and President/CEO of Covenant Counseling & Consultation Services, LLC, which is a licensed Mental Health and Substance Abuse Facility in the State of Tennessee and a provider for the Department of Children Services.
Ms. Mitchell is certified as an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, a Suicide Prevention, Nurturing Parenting and Fatherhood Initiative Trainer. She provides behavioral health counseling and trainings on specialized mental health topics – specifically from a Christian and cultural prospective.
Ms. Mitchell is a member of New Covenant Baptist Church and serves on the leadership team of the Women’s Missionary Union and provides Bible Study for women at the Knox County Detention Facility. She serves on numerous community boards, such as Midway Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center and Community Alternatives to Prison Program (CAPP). She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville and received her undergraduate degree in Human Ecology Training and Development and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Community Management Practice.
From a young age Ms. Mitchell has had a passion working with the under-served and at-risk to provide empowerment, advocation and consistent support.
